Athens-Clarke County Real Time Crime Center
The Athens-Clarke County Police Department’s new Real Time Crime Center (RTCC) is up and running. The RTCC will allow for continuous strategic monitoring 24/7 of all types of cameras throughout Athens. Beyond investigative needs, the center will help ACCPD prevent and deter crime. It will be a force multiplier with real time information available for officer deployment.
UGA camera infrastructure will be 100% shared within the new RTCC.
Business, Landlords, and Residents can voluntarily share their camera feeds with the RTCC. Sharing cameras enables ACCPD to respond to incidents faster and equips officers with advanced situational knowledge. Camera sharing is conditional upon mutual agreement with ACCPD and private camera feeds will only be accessed during a criminal event or emergency at the property location. The RTCC platform in use is by Fusus.
