Ariana Zarse
🕊️ Today marks the 3rd anniversary of the tragic loss of Ariana Zarse. On October 9, 2021, Ariana was taken from us in a hit-and-run accident that changed countless lives forever.
Her story is one of unimaginable loss and a legal system that, at times, seems to fail the very victims it is meant to protect. Despite overwhelming evidence—including video footage, DNA, and eyewitness accounts—the individuals responsible for her death were never held accountable.
Ariana is an inspiration to us all. Her vibrant spirit and the love she shared remind us why we care and fight for justice. We believe in a world where no family has to endure such heartbreak and where accountability is the standard, not the exception.
In her memory, we are committed to advocating for change. We are pleased to share that the East Broad Crosswalk at the railroad tracks is set to be fully overhauled by the end of this year, featuring new RRFB (Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon) lights, improved signage, and refreshed thermoplastic markings. Thank you to ACCGov for securing the GDOT grant to help make these improvements. This upgrade is a crucial step toward making our community safer.
